OurCarbon at Milan Design Week
Bioforcetech proudly returned to Milan Design Week this year, showcasing the innovation and versatility of its material brand, OurCarbon, across two major exhibitions in collaboration with Garzanti Specialties, Rossana Orlandi, and Materially.
Building on the momentum from last year's debut, Bioforcetech's presence at the prestigious Rossana Orlandi Gallery and Materially's "The Scale of Commitment" exhibition positioned OurCarbon at the forefront of the sustainable design conversation during one of the world's most influential design events.
Showcasing Sustainable Innovation at the Rossana Orlandi Gallery
At the renowned Rossana Orlandi Gallery, Bioforcetech collaborated with Model No., the creators of 3D-printed, bio-based modern furnishings. Together, they unveiled two standout pieces: the Esker Chair and Ottoman in OurCarbon gloss black, and the EOS 3-Point Lamp in OurCarbon 'striated' gloss, set dramatically atop a bed of raw OurCarbon granules.
This visual installation emphasized OurCarbon's potential to transform waste into beauty and redefine how sustainable materials can drive premium interior design.
"Being showcased under the esteemed Rossana Orlandi name is a testament to OurCarbon's impact in the design space and its potential to redefine sustainable materials," said Garrett Benisch, Director of Design Development at Bioforcetech.
The exhibition successfully highlighted the shared values of sustainability, innovation, and beauty without compromising on any of them.
Spotlighting OurCarbon at Materially's "The Scale of Commitment" Exhibition
At Superstudio Più, OurCarbon was featured in Materially's "The Scale of Commitment," a dynamic exhibition dedicated to sustainable materials and innovation.
Bioforcetech's pigment material, infused into Geomatrix biopolymer by Garzanti Specialties, showcased OurCarbon's versatility and growing adoption within the European design and manufacturing industries.
On April 10th, Bioforcetech participated in a panel discussion hosted by Materially, contributing to a broader dialogue about how emerging materials, such as OurCarbon, are critical to advancing a sustainable, circular economy.
"Through in-depth panels, the exhibition aimed to clarify, debunk myths, and bring designers and professionals closer to the decisions today's material producers must face," said Chiara Rodriguez, President and CEO of Materially.
Paving the Way for a Circular Future
Bioforcetech's participation at Milan Design Week 2025 marked an important milestone in expanding OurCarbon's global reach. With support from Garzanti Specialties, Bioforcetech is positioning OurCarbon to become a major player in the European sustainable materials market.
As industries worldwide pivot toward circular economy solutions, Milan Design Week provided the perfect stage for Bioforcetech to demonstrate how OurCarbon transforms organic waste into a climate-positive, scalable material and why sustainable innovation must be embedded into the future of design.
